Random Lists

These are some random lists that I want to put out there-

Books I've since 2026.

Book Rating Notes
Curfew Nights, Basharat Peer ? currently reading
The Death of Ivan Ilyich, Leo Tolstoy 7/10 This was the first book I read after a long time. I made me think a lot about how I behave and my personality as general, specially around the people that care for me.
The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho 5/10 Felt like a teenager wrote a story and wanted to include some philosophy on life and growth but did so using short one-line metaphors which are poorly executed.

What I Own

Item Notes
Victus 15 inch 2024 What I use daily for content consumption. It has served me well
X370 Thinkpad 2018 What I use to make notes for JEE in coaching. Got it really cheap at an auction
PC and Dual Monitors I don't really use it that much these days, I just use it as an archive at this point. The two monitors were an era
Raspberry Pi 5 Made lots of cool projects, last used for cloud server.
OnePlus 7T My phone, Its a 6 year old handmedown, works great.
OnePlus Nord TWS Don't really use them much, only for calls.
XP Pen Digital Tablet I don't use it anymore as I got the thinkpad.
Portronics Hydra Keyboard Love the white look, keys aren't that worth it for the price, could have gotten a worse looking better sounding one.
Portronics Toad One Mouse Love how this cheap mouse has lasted 2 years and works perfectly. I would never go back from a 6 button.
HP 419 Ink Printer I would have much preferred a laser printer as I majorly used to print PDFs, but I also love printing some stickers and photos so its worth it ig.
Ibanez GRG 170DX Electric guitar, got it in May.
ZOOM G2X4 Guitar multi-effects pedal, I wouldn't recommend it.
Yamaha FS80C My first guitar, got it in May 2024.
Some Suzuki Mini Classical Guitar Stole it from a friend and repaired its broken neck (proud of myself).
GreenSoul Monster Chair Like the ergonomics, but its gas lift is very short, or maybe my table is too high up.
Drawboard Premium It is worth it if you consider the cost of physical books and stationary supplies

What I wanna learn

Knowledge about something or some skill I would love to have

Stuff Notes
Sketching there is something about sitting in an exam hall, finishing your paper a half hour early, sketching some girls behind the paper and thinking about that one girl. This is something that childhood should have probably taught me, but I was too busy surfing youtube to get creative.
Singing I learnt to play the guitar, I could do this too.
Writing My english is shit, how I express myself in words is even more shit.

What I Want

Item Notes
The Waste Books I can't find this book anywhere in India. I have its pdf in french. If I still can't find it, I would convince myself to learn french just to read this book
MP3 Player I very much like the vibe and the idea of ditching spotify + I can take it to school and listen audiobooks.
Nebula Subscription Would probably get it sometime this month
Earphones I have went to 4 headphones till date. I think I will get earphones this time as they are so much easier to carry. I just want a good mic
Drafting Pencil This is something that I do use daily, a pencil. I already do have many mechanical pencils. I just like the feel of metal instead of cheap plastic.
Thermal Printer This is the only way to explain the reason. I have a few project ideas in mind.
Balisong Cool party trick. I have wanted this after watching a video from Mike Shake 4 years ago. Edit: Enjoying it a lot, make me want to learn more micro hobbies

Cool People You Need to Check Out

Item Notes
Sarah Davis Baker I found her through Nebula, one of my favorite video creators. Her videos are the perfect amount of niche, interesting, and of internet culture.
Paul Graham I really love his essays. He inspires me to write. "If you're thinking without writing, you only think you're thinking."
Tom Scott There could be a lot of video essayists here, but I would feel like he is different. For most of them, I first look at the what the video is about, then see who has made it. But for him I would watch whatever nonsense he has posted just cause I know its going to be something interesting. It's sad to see him go like this. I still read his newsletters.
